Keyword research and targeting
Monday, 01 October 2007
Digg!

target.jpgI don’t really post much here (in the Blog) as far as theory/tutorial style of posts are concerned. Some folks do in their SEO BLogs, and some folks don’t – I have my own ‘persona’ – and the Blog is mostly about rambling and ranting for me. When I get the urge to do something more technical/strategic I post them in the SEO Knowledgebase on my company site. I didn’t want to dilute my direction here and it allows me to put some content (added value) to the company site…

Now – I get asked a lot about KW research and find many people don’t put the same level of importance on this early step in the SEO process as I do. With that in mind I wrote a guide to Keyword or Phrase research and targeting which I have posted – KW/P Research and Targeting concepts

This is probably not best suited to the seasoned SEO in as much the more casual student or webmaster. Who knows though, I still find tidbits in many posts I read… there is likely something for everyone :0)

… the ranting and rambling shall resume shortly.

lol...yes I have been following. I had like SOOOOooo many questions regarding KW/p and your piece has basically answered ALL of them in one foul swoop. It was so easy to read and understand...you rock!

Hiya Becky... Glad that worked out. As I mentioned, it is greatly overlooked by many folks and I get a lot of questions about it... thus the motivation.

While I prefer rambling and ranting... every once in a while I drag myself together for a 'useful' post.. ha ha ha... I also have a penchant for playing in the deep technical waters ( search patents etc..) and don't write for the casual SEO student.... so it was due.

I rock?? Weeeeee... gotta get out the guitar baby!
