Critter Update
Sunday, 01 June 2008
Digg!

Welcome to the Wild Kingdom

I was taking a few pics of some of my critters the other day and thought to update my ‘Critter Corner’ section.

Kaya – my ball python Kaya has been growing since my last post when he was just a baby. Since then he has grown into a few new sizes of vivarium and is now over 40” long.

Kaya the Ball Python

He is easily the most friendly of my critters and will spend endless hours snuggled up with me watching TV… or when I am on the 'puter - he’s the best! (just have to watch he doesn't eat my mouse - he he)

My last post today is more apropos for the web world.. I give you

Juan the Google Bot. Ok he didn’t really come from Google, we can ‘spider’ things though right? Too many WEB jokes with this fella.

We won’t really be sure until he gets a little older, he's still young, but it is a toss up between a Mexican Red Kneed or a Mexican Red Legged Tarantula My local exotic dealer had gotten him in a round about way and wasn’t really sure. Lost and unknown.. my kind of spider!

This fine Lady of the Manor is Gypsy, the patriarch of our pack. We have had her the longest. This is her with our daughter Elisia and I;

She's not staying still for me this afternoon... I shall get more later...

Koda the Lizard

Next here on Critter Corners today is my Wife’s little love Koda. He is a Mali Uromastyx and hails from West Africa. In the Mali tongue his name means, ‘ Mothers first born’ or ‘Mothers Pet’. It was Tanya’s 1st exotic and so the name says it all.

He actually lives inside in a Vivarium, he just loves to get outside for a wander while the summer months are here. He is around 10 inches long now and grows to be around 12 inches. Pleasant fellow that has never bitten or grumbled at anyone (unlike myself).

Shianne

Digg!

Ok, it’s a nice day today so I am trying to get as many pictures of our animal menagerie taken as I can. It only started this little site late last week… so I figure I’ll get the personal stuff out of the way early :0}

This young pup, (10 months) is Shianne. She is actually the daughter of Bear and Gypsy. They have had a few wonderful litters that are snapped up by loving families as fast as we can put an ad in the local paper.
