Ladies and gentleman, it is a small offering this week. I have been busy preparing for a Big Event, that I will be announcing shortly. I also had this minor inconvenience which some refer to as ‘work’ that seemed to be slowing me down. There are some more goodies yet to be added to this. For the moment; Google is an Open book – for those of you hiding with the key under the front door mat for the last 7 days, google released it’s answer in the to Microsoft/Facebook with Open Social. Interestingly enough it an early application for it promptly got hacked. As one would expect there were some comparisons being drawn towards Google being the next Microsoft – Speaking of Microsoft; they, in a sort of tit-for-tat answer - defends stake in FaceBook Some coverage; The GOS alliance – Myspace to join Open Social – FaceBook, you’re your move – Google and MySpace team up - GOS has Orkut support Data Central;Analytically Speaking – if you didn’t catch it the folks at Live are releasing their offering into the analytics market; Microsoft releases Analytics Tool (in Beta) – and then there was also the release of Google analytics for Custom Search engine
Stats – ClickZ released the list for the 10 top search terms in 10 categories $42 Billion – that’s right, estimates say that online ad spending will reach $42B by 2011 Quick Hits - Getting Stoned – I had to site back and enjoy when earlier this week Stoney DeGeyter went on a rant and told the world; Google Lies! …and then followed up on Search Engine Guide
Bad Linking – have you ever heard of ‘anti-link management? Lenny de Rooy had a veryintriging post about a client that got jacked; beware of Link Poisoning Index Rank - a new buzz word in the industry and SoloSEO has a nifty tool; Check your index rank Web 2.0 – Seth Godin has a ongoig list that ranks the top Social Sites with his Web 2.0 watch list And that’s it… stay tuned to this station for a very important announcement (wink)
