Well hello there…. I haven’t really rambled about anything in a while – call it a sabbatical. I couldn’t resist today when I read about some more fun Google and eBay are having.
When last we chatted about this relationship in turmoil was back around Valentines with the whole ‘Peer Prominence’ bit. For those playing aong at home, Google was trying to undermine eBay by pushing their ‘Google Checkout’ payment processor – who’s number one competitor is PayPal – which is owned by eBay.
This time Google was trying to entice eBay users to the Google Checkout system right under the noses of the gang at eBay – which prompted eBay to ‘test’ the waters by pulling all of their Google Ads to ‘guage the effectiveness’. Uh huh….
Anyways, fun stuff all around have a read about it – Google get's eBay's goat
