Hey Jim... good to C U as always. I hear ya, while social isn't my bag, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to see what was out there on that side of the fence. At the end of the journey, I found a TON of very interesting reading/listening that goes beyond the average babble we see in the blogosphere from social media 'gurus'. Of course I too am a bit moved towards the data mining, I'd also say the user identification stuff is also interesting since more than a few social search approaches use this. If you missed it, also check out yesterday's post (part 1) as there are some good patents in these areas as well. Sorry to add to the reading, but won't don't kill us... makes us geekier...hee hee... Thanks for dropping a comment brother... I hope to see U around the Dojo soon!

Gosh! that's quite a list and I'd like to be the first to complain that you've added greatly to my "must" reading pile...sigh! While I did know of 3 of these, the sheer size of that research is great, Dave! Especially the Info/data mining ones! Now, all I gotta do is find the time to print and read, eh? =) Jim
