@ Scott - one thing I've learned over the last while is that a lot of SEOs indeed do struggle with link building outside of the standard foundational stype stuff to be honest. With this week's poll I hope to get a better feel of exactly what methods we're all using - this should give insight into that area. @Dana - awww thanks as always. Gonna have to get U a 'Top Evangelist' badge or something. I too have been enjoying the chat sessions more and more since we have great co-hosts like yerself and others. It's nice to hear others thoughts/approaches, I get tired of listening to myself... sigh. Speakin' of which, another good session on the horizon tomorrow!! Yay!!

Taking the opportunity to thank you, Dave, for this recap and for your work to put together the Dojo brain trust! :-) The Dojo chats are a highlight of my week and a great place to share transparently!

How much of it is due to clients?

Linkbuilding is the one area that requires the most client contribution and cooperation. Many clients are simply not good at publishing link-worthy content or blogging. So SEOs often have to drag them along - not easy. So I'd guess SEOs are good at linkbuilding, with cooperation.
