And along comes a world where after a brief background check and short survey your new car can link to your phone and synchronize with your office/home pc which will in turn synchronize with all the information gathered by google, Determine where you are likely to go what you are likely to do - organize your day and plot your next few steps. Being the sneaky type you try confuse the system by changing your plans but allas the computer already knows this because of information it has gathered about you throughout your experience with any modern form of technology thus plotting your plan of evasion for you. - kinda takes the fun outa things doesnt it. I reckon its all good and fine as far as people getting what they are looking for right off the bat but i wonder if all the information will come back to haunt us in the end. Most companies already do checks on google to make sure employees arent getting up to anything dodgy which can only mean that the day will come where would be employers could build a profile of you simply by summing up your online activities. I can actually picture a new faction of google called "Google Human Resources" which will feed paying employers full profiles of would be employees. That is a world i do not like. And to top it off, this isnt even a singularity theory, this is humans using machines to gather unimaginable amounts of information about other humans... i wonder who will end up with the power to utilize this info at will? Great read there Dave :-) Oh yeah, if you put google maps on any mobile device google can currently track you within a couple of hundred meters using normal cellphone towers... gps can track you within 2 meters... when they put the two together and triangulate (A-GPS) they can tell you exactly where you are wherever you are. Off that though, has anyone considered what the implications would be when mixing google with the computers of the future? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_computer
