SEO Dojo - training for search geeks   the Community for search engine optimization geeks

About the SEO Training Dojo

We are here to teach, learn, and grow. Every teacher a student. Every student, a teacher. This SEO Dojo was founded to give those with an interest in search optimization, personally or professionally, a place to gain knowledge, interact and About the SEO Dojoeven teach others the craft.

The SEO Dojo (or Fire Horse) was started as a place to collect search related documents, interact with others and spread the word of search optimization in it's highest form. We felt there needed to be a place for the new adventurers and uber SEO geeks alike. For determined website owners, or professional SEOs, the in-house, the consultant... the shirt maker.

Started From a Seed

The Dojo was started by one seriously obsessed search geek and blogger; David Harry. With over 8 years in search engine optimization and 4 years of writing and blogging, he's got the vision and passion to bring the SEO Dojo to life. He currently writes at the main HuoMah SEO Blog, is syndicated by WebPro News (and family) and contributes at Search Engine Journal and more. In the past David also written for Site Reference and the social blog, Collective Thoughts.

A Home for the Search Obsessed

This is a home for the obsessed search geek who wants to be the best as well as part of a strong community. The Dojo also seeks to expand on it's martial arts roots by teaching and giving back to the community at large. This is a place to hone your craft. This is about the Art and the Mechanics.

"The first time I encountered Dave was on Sphinn. As is the tradition of all warriors the sparring began! Next was on his blog where I disagreed with some but not all of what he posted and respect began to grow. The third encounter was a patent and once I read his summary of the patent I knew I wanted to contact him

Then I was talking to a mutual friend who suggested I just contact Dave about what my concerns were. As I remember it my friend said something along the lines of "you two are very alike, both passionate about search". So I contacted Dave by email and by the end of two or three emails discussing search and the industry I joined the SEO Dojo mainly because Dave's approach to the community is unique and the fact 4 years of semi-retirement kinda' left a few gaps in my knowledge.

I could have pretty much gone anywhere to fill in the gaps but I'm tired of the content and linky dinks dogma and am ready to look at SEO and web marketing another way because AFAIK, the old ways are done and I want a fresh way of looking at things. There truly are no RockStars or Priveledged members in the SEO Dojo, we're all equal in The Gypsy's eyes, neophyte to master we're all here to learn. Dave provides the tools and information and guides us through the bullshit and drama that is the day to to day grind of SEO."
