Hello my geeks… it is a proud day in my happy little hideaway (SEO Dojo) as the 2k10 version of the SEMMYs was announced yesterday. I was looking through the nominations and noticing how many of them were peeps that have helped my the community what it is today.
And so…. I wanted to list them off and show some love!!
If you haven’t checked out the nominees, (all of them) I would certainly suggest it. Upon looking through the lists I noticed many great posts I’d not seen from 09…. Be sure to drop by and check it out; great reading all around.

Are you still hanging in there? If so… WOW, yer a real trooper! Have faith, only two more to go! This round we’re looking at some of the stragglers in the form of Local SEO, Social Search and SEO Tools… the notable and entertaining from ’09.
If you’ve been living under a rock you might have missed that Local SEO is getting more and more important… We actually added it as a standalone category in the newsletter during the year. Social search is another area we added as it is heating up as well…

Ok, so are we enjoying the ride so far? We’re taking this week to wrap up all of the notable goodies from 2009. As you may know we publish a weekly (SEO Geeks) newsletter which has the top stories/posts each week. This series is simply some of what I felt were the more notable entries from ’09.

As we’re getting into the New Year, I decided to have a look back through the archives of the SEO Geeks newsletter and round up some of the best posts (to me) from the past year. And let me tell you, it was quite the undertaking. I must go through hundreds of RSS reader each week and after nearly 40 weeks, there is a TON of goodiness to go around.
Let it be noted that these aren’t really THE BEST posts, but more in-line with what I felt were the most noteworthy, entertaining or otherwise valuable from the past year. It is not always about the most popular posts that hold the test of time. There are a few nuggets from the more unknown in here as well as people you already know. I wanted to give you a collection that will, in most cases, hold value into 2010.

There is no science… it doesn’t have to be comprehensive, merely important. For this first instalment we’re looking at what I felt were the best or most noteworthy posts from 2009. We will then look at some specifics, (such as Local, Social, Tools and more). They are in no particular order… mostly chronological.
